Is our democracy important to you and would you like to get involved in its promotion? Would you like to contribute to the further development and strengthening of civic education?

Every member increases our resources and thus our impact. Just like in a democracy, many individuals make their contribution – and at Demokrative, they decide for themselves what this contribution may be exactly.

• the financial stability and independence of the Demokrative: We finance our activities with earmarked support from foundations. More membership fees increase our capability to plan our future activities.

• the professional discourse about civic education at the interface of science and practice: We are networked with important actors in civic education in Switzerland and internationally – our networking activities and the professional exchange we maintain are only financed in exceptional cases.

• The visibility and widespread impact: the more widespread and diverse our members are, the more connecting points we have for events, cooperations, professional exchange and communication.

• you are invited to the Annual General Meeting, have the right to vote and have a say in the organisation's activities (e.g. by electing the Board of Directors, approving the annual report including the annual accounts and any amendments to the Articles of Association, annual planning, etc.) and receive early information about other exciting events;

• You will pay an annual membership fee of CHF 30.- / 60.- / 90 .- / 120 .-, the amount of the contribution is at the discretion of each member and has no effect on voting rights.
